Been a long time...lots of changes, but all for the better. Life pushes you to achieve more I think when you get pushed outside of your comfort zone. As it stands right now...I couldn't be happier. I am now working my massage business only and I LOVE it. Not a fast jump to full time in any way shape or form, but steady increase.

exercise...

ok...not doing the wii fit every morning like planned but just about every week day morning I am making myself get out of bed. Last week fell off the wagon because of Daylight Savings Time which totally messes you up...and it was hard seeing a clock in the basement say it was only 4:49 am rather then the 5:49 am I was telling my brain it was. My brain was NOT deceived at all...it rebelled. I also had two sick kids to deal with Mon-Friday...and added sick husband into that mix starting Tuesday night. So barely slept from sick kids (correction...from Aiden only)....and daylight savings exhaustion, and working two jobs...wasn't pretty mix last week.

Anyway....I have started to drag my tail down to the treadmill in the morning. I felt that the cardio on the wii fit was a good beginner phase...but didn't really work up a sweat...and although I liked the running program...it was hard to run fast enough in place without killing your knees and always landing on tip toes. And the step aerobics I had done most morning but didn't get my heart rate up very high anymore...so I had conditioned myself enough for it. So, great job to me for that much anyway. So yes...the treadmill is now kicked it up a notch for the cardio, and I still do the body testing. I love the body testing feature...but I wish there was an express route to get past all the little comments for those that are a little more advanced. Cute at first...but time consuming when you want to get on with it. I could get more done in shorter period of time without all the little comment at each at every exercise.

I do have to say...that I love the yoga program. For years I have recorded Inhale (or is it Exhale)...a yoga show on Oxygen every morning...I love watching it...but had a hard time learning the poses and how to do them correctly because you have to see what they are doing...before you can do it...so you are always craning your neck at funny angles to see the tv. So I gave up and just watch them. My point with the Wii fit yoga...is it goes slowly through each post...you learn the correct positioning for it...and have numerous slow runs through each pose...I now feel I might be able to do an actual yoga show. I might just give it a shot...and report back (as long as I am not in traction).

So hear me Nintendo...please have a feature on the next exercize game that puts all the talk in for those getting used to the program...and a feature that allows you to turn it off and skip it completely and get right to the point of what you want to do.

What do I want to be when I grow up?

Ok...the whole Wii fit experiment has not started out yet as planned. I had to delay the start, or continuation, whichever you want to call it. Aiden and I had a bit of a run in on Saturday morning. Meaning the top of his head had a run in square into my jaw. I was basically out of commission this weekend due to pain of my jaw being out of alignment and the headache that came with it. I am actually better today, sore but tolerable...but I kept it to only a body test this morning, with a few of my favorite balance board games and the lotus focus. The body test pronounced I had the body of a 27 year old. Not bad for a 35 yr old.

Today I am trying to research business opportunities. Online businesses, at home businesses, free lance contracting... See which might work best for me and the family. The economy is horrid right now...and we are finding out tomorrow what is in store for my agency and my job. I am thinking something will happen...be it pay cut, or hours cut across the board with everyone...or certain programs shutting down to make up for our budget deficit already happening into only the second month of this fiscal year. Been there done that...got the unemployment check in the past. So today is trying to figure out "what do I want to be when I grow up"? sort of day. Just because I am preparing for worst case scenario tomorrow....

I do have my massage business...but again with the economy, I am making enough to cover the bills and also share the room so there is little room in scheduling to pick up more clients beyond what hours I typically had my schedule open for.

So anyway...if anyone has any ideas, or tips that would be great to share.

wii fit

I started to wonder if Subway could have Jered as their spokes person, I was curious who Wii Fit would use? Could Wii Fit have Jennie? Sure why not? So I have decided to start putting my trials and tribulations on the blog about this. We bought it about a month ago...have worked through most of the games to have a feel of them...and opened up most of the advanced stuff. Now on to the dirty work.

commercials...and the credit crunch

have you noticed since the whole economic fallout...all those funny Capitol One credit card commericals are no longer playing like...EVERY OTHER commercial as they have in the past. Actually I have yet to see them at all that I can remember in the last several weeks. Based on my job, I see tons of people daily that have all gotten into trouble with their credit cards...and they have no way out. Marathon County has an extremely high bankruptcy and foreclosure rate. I think it is going to be a pretty lean christmas this year with people not having their credit to fall back on. I know our xmas personally will be trimmed back this year, at least until I know for sure my job is secure. So we have put away our Visa and Mastercards and have been working hard at living on a strict budget...to pay off bills and put money away just incase.

sick child alert...

Coming to a child near you!

Aiden ended up with a head cold yesterday that is tearing the poor boy up. He kept telling my mom that his nose was leaking. :( Last night gave him a big Vick's chest rub down and put him to bed. He woke me up at 12:30 am coughing and sputtering and trying to breath past globs of phelm you could hear were locked into his throat and chest. I raced in there...got him upright and he coughed hard twice and puked all over both of us. Got him to the bathroom...Sean got us some new clothes...and Aiden and I got a hot steam as I locked us in the bathroom with the shower running at scald. that really cleared him out...We cuddled on the couch with his Barbi movie (yes my son like Barbi)...and then changed it to Monsters Inc (only likes Barbi for a little bit). Got him back to bed at 3 with a fresh coating of Vicks. I am trying to figure out how I am functioning on little sleep with NO Caffiene today.
