exercise...

ok...not doing the wii fit every morning like planned but just about every week day morning I am making myself get out of bed. Last week fell off the wagon because of Daylight Savings Time which totally messes you up...and it was hard seeing a clock in the basement say it was only 4:49 am rather then the 5:49 am I was telling my brain it was. My brain was NOT deceived at all...it rebelled. I also had two sick kids to deal with Mon-Friday...and added sick husband into that mix starting Tuesday night. So barely slept from sick kids (correction...from Aiden only)....and daylight savings exhaustion, and working two jobs...wasn't pretty mix last week.

Anyway....I have started to drag my tail down to the treadmill in the morning. I felt that the cardio on the wii fit was a good beginner phase...but didn't really work up a sweat...and although I liked the running program...it was hard to run fast enough in place without killing your knees and always landing on tip toes. And the step aerobics I had done most morning but didn't get my heart rate up very high anymore...so I had conditioned myself enough for it. So, great job to me for that much anyway. So yes...the treadmill is now kicked it up a notch for the cardio, and I still do the body testing. I love the body testing feature...but I wish there was an express route to get past all the little comments for those that are a little more advanced. Cute at first...but time consuming when you want to get on with it. I could get more done in shorter period of time without all the little comment at each at every exercise.

I do have to say...that I love the yoga program. For years I have recorded Inhale (or is it Exhale)...a yoga show on Oxygen every morning...I love watching it...but had a hard time learning the poses and how to do them correctly because you have to see what they are doing...before you can do it...so you are always craning your neck at funny angles to see the tv. So I gave up and just watch them. My point with the Wii fit yoga...is it goes slowly through each post...you learn the correct positioning for it...and have numerous slow runs through each pose...I now feel I might be able to do an actual yoga show. I might just give it a shot...and report back (as long as I am not in traction).

So hear me Nintendo...please have a feature on the next exercize game that puts all the talk in for those getting used to the program...and a feature that allows you to turn it off and skip it completely and get right to the point of what you want to do.
